Bail set at $3 million

A man suspected of sexually assaulting two transgender women and robbing a third transgender woman, all of whom he met online, is being held in jail on $3 million bail.
Edward Terry Wallace, 25, of San Diego, has pleaded not guilty to 15 felony counts in San Diego Superior Court. A preliminary hearing is set for July 29 and the victims may testify.
Deputy District Attorney Pat Espinoza said all three victims met Wallace after they advertised a personal ad on Craigslist.org, an online bulletin board. The ad stated they wanted to meet males who were “looking for some fun.”
Two victims were assaulted with a stun gun in separate incidents on April 4 and April 12 in their homes.
Wallace is accused of two counts of forcible sodomy, one charge of forcible oral copulation, and two counts of assault with intent to commit rape.
The first incident occurred on April 2 and the victim was robbed and threatened with a stun gun in her home. He is also charged with three burglary counts on the allegation that he entered their homes with the intent to commit a crime and three counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
Wallace was in court on July 2 to try to resolve the case with a plea agreement, but one could not be reached. He remains in the South Bay Detention Facility on $3 million bail.
