For the gay man/straight woman duo Nathan (Cole Williams) and Maggie (Amber Benson), managing a platonic friendship is going along swimmingly, until they embark upon a secret affair that muddies the waters of just who they are to one another.
A trip to Napa Valley, sans their boyfriends, helps the two define the nature of their relationship, which is at turns corporeal, freeing and burdened with complications.
Race You to the Bottom is a thought-provoking look at the liquid lines surrounding sexuality in an ever-changing world.

Just the Two of Us & That Tender Touch
$19.99 (a piece)
Wolfe Video
Wolfe Video has dug into its vintage vault to present two decidedly campy celluloid romps with Just the Two of Us and That Tender Touch, two ’70s “dykesploitation” explorations into the world of Sapphic love!
Just the Two of Us is the tale of two lonely housewives, Denise and Adria, who embark on a relationship after seeing a lesbian couple holding hands out in public.

But it is what happens behind closed doors in the comfort of their shag-carpeted domesticated bliss that fuels the film; until one of the newly minted lesbians opts to become a hasbian by falling for a manly actor, leaving the other to fend off the advances of a British seductress named Mona, whose signature move involves besmirching innocent prey on pool tables.
That Tender Touch begs the cinematic question, “How far will a girl go to satisfy her needs?” Well, for lesbian couple Marsha (Bee Tompkins) and Terry (Sue Bernard of Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!) that quest becomes convoluted in Terry’s desires to settle into a conventional life with a man named Ken. Marsha’s life without Terry spirals downward, and she ends up destitute with nowhere to go, so she reinserts herself into Terry’s life by moving in with Terry and her husband!

Selfish & Perverse

Carroll & Graf
Gay comedian Bob Smith delivers his first novel, Selfish & Perverse, which chronicles the misadventures of gay thirty-something Nelson Kunker, who seems to be stuck in the quagmire of balancing his professional and personal lives.
His stint as a script supervisor for a low-rated sketch television show, coupled with being unable to finish the novel he’s writing, is mirroring his desire to be taken off the market by the man of his dreams, and neither aspect seem to be going anywhere. That is until he meets Roy Briggs, an archaeology student/part-time salmon fisherman visiting from Alaska, and the old gay adage “when it rains (men), it pours” applies to Nelson, as he also meets movie star Dylan Fabizak, another potential suitor.
According to noted author Armistead Maupin, Selfish & Perverse is “a thoroughly seductive and satisfying read. It makes you laugh, it makes you horny, it makes you want to fish for salmon.” Selfish & Perverse will be released on Aug. 28.
